Issue 52

Newcastle-based Activ Technology, has announced the appointment of Carol Logan as business development manager.

Carol, who is based in Carlisle, joins from The Ramsay Partnership, where she was responsible for business development and client account management. Her new role will focus on growing the business across Carlisle and Glasgow.

Activ Technology, which employs over 30 people, is a managed service provider for IT and telecommunications. It has offices in Newcastle and Dumfries.

Carol is another new appointment within Activ’s growing sales force. The company recently announced the appointment of business development executives Jessica Ivison and Tom Johnston.

Carol said: “I am delighted to join the team at Activ Technology. Having worked at The Ramsay Partnership as a business development specialist and at Atlas Communications prior to that, the opportunity to help grow Activ Technology between Carlisle and Glasgow, was something I could not turn down.

“Activ Technology is a forward-thinking company and I want to really make my mark and utilise the contacts I have to grow the business. There is huge potential to make an impact across the two regions. I have a vast amount of knowledge when it comes to telecommunications and IT and it was very much an area I wanted to return to. I am looking forward to the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.”

Dean Cowens, sales manager at Activ Technology, said: “We are very ambitious, continue to grow and we are delighted to have Carol onboard to assist with our expansion plans.

“We have made great progress in developing our network in Dumfries, where we have established our first base outside of the North East and we want to continue to build our presence across Carlisle and Glasgow.

“Carol has extensive sector knowledge, knows the region well and is ideally placed to attract and retain customers as we continue to grow our team.”
